Focus T25 Gamma Review (WORTH THE UPGRADE?)

In an earlier Focus T25 review, we covered exactly how you can get amazing weight loss results with only 25 minute workouts. We saw that the Nutrition Plan was super simple to follow and that people were able to continue to lose weight by doing Focus T25 more than once. However, we didn’t say much about the next phase of Focus T25 called Gamma. In this Gamma review, we’ll find out if Focus T25 Gamma is really worth buying…

Focus T25 Gamma Phase Overview

The base kit of the Focus T25 cardio workout comes with two phases… Alpha and Beta. Alpha works on your foundation by making sure you have proper form. Then in Beta, you really pick up the pace and you get the most from your workout by doing compound moves (making use of more than one muscle group at a time). Although some people will continue another round of Focus T25 to keep losing weight, some people normally want something different or something that will further challenge them… Hence, the Gamma Phase…

The Gamma workouts are designed to help you build lean muscles, burn more fat, and to improve your strength. The Gamma Package includes 4 workouts that are 25 minutes each, 2 workout schedule options, and one round of the Gamma phase lasts 4 weeks. During the Gamma Phase, you have 2 Workout Schedules you can choose from:

Focus T25 Gamma CalendarsPure Gamma Calendar – If you’re looking to get ripped, then you’ll want to follow the Focus T25 Pure Gamma schedule. The set up of this schedule is designed to help you build bigger muscles by making more use of dumbbells or resistance bands. You will not have a double day Friday and you will not make use of the Alpha nor Beta workouts. Although this calendar makes it so that the Gamma workouts could be a stand alone workout, it’s important to remember that Alpha and Beta phase should be completed first before attempting the Gamma workouts because everything builds on the previous workouts…

Pure Strength Hybrid Calendar – The purpose of this workout is to increase your strength and will be helping you burn more fat. Since this is a Hybrid Calendar, you will be making use of some Alpha and Beta workouts. This includes: Total Body Circuit, Upper Focus, Rip’t Circuit, and Dynamic Core. You will also have a double day on Friday.

If you’re someone that likes to change things up or gets bored with routine, you’ll enjoy having the two different Gamma Phase Calendars to choose from.

T25 Gamma Phase Review: Workouts

It wouldn’t be a complete T25 Gamma review without covering every single workout that you will be doing…

Focus T25 Gamma WorkoutsRip’t Up – For this upper body Gamma workout, you will need to use some dumbbells. Yes, you can also use resistance bands if you prefer. However, you get better control and more freedom in movement with dumbbells. Because of the high reps involved, you don’t need anything heavy and one set will normally be enough for most people. Yet, you can have a range of dumbbells if you find some moves too challenging to use the same one. A pair of 5, 8, 10, or 15 is the best place to start depending on your strength. During this workout, you will focus on your biceps, triceps, shoulders, back and chest.

The Pyramid – The Pyramid includes a mixture of cardio and strength training. This workout will test your endurance and stamina because you will be building up the number of reps as the workout goes on. Each set of reps is done from anywhere between 5 to 11 depending on where Shaun T feels you may need more work in. Like before, the weights you choose can be light… 10-15 lbs for the average guy and 5-10 lbs for ladies. In this Gamma workout, you’ll do a mixture of curls, squats, push ups, upright rows, tricep presses, an ab workout and much more.

Extreme Circuit – This is an Extreme Gamma workout… You’ll need to choose your weight wisely here because you will not be letting go of those dumbbells for much of this workout. This workout is similar to Rip’T Up, however, it has a lot less cardio and much more slow and controlled movements. And don’t worry, no floor exercises for this workout routine.

Speed 3.0 –  With Speed 3.0 you will give your dumbbells a rest… However, you’re not going to be resting at all with this workout! This is a pure, challenging, cardio workout. This workout is similar to Speed 1.0 and 2.0 but many of the moves are replaced with harder ones… For example, you’ll be doing several different push up variations than before. The Gamma phase is meant to really challenge you and this cardio will have you burning an insane amount of calories with no water break!

Conclusion…

I don’t want to lead you in the wrong direction with this Focus T25 Gamma review… The Gamma phase is NOT required for you to get amazing T25 results. Many people have been able to lose weight and some have even gotten six pack abs because of Focus T25. Check out the before and after pictures below…

However, the Gamma phase is a nice addition for those looking to change up their workouts or want something that will further develop their strength because in this phase, 3 of the workouts rely heavily on making use of weights. You will not gain big bulky muscles however… The Gamma phase workouts rely on doing several repetitions instead of lifting heavy weights with a low rep count… Yet, you will gain stronger and leaner muscles.

Overall, the Gamma Phase is a perfect ADDITION… It is not to be done without going through the Alpha and Beta phases first because all of these phases build on each other. Additionally, this is a great way to continue to challenge yourself so that you keep working towards the body that you desire…

Check out the options below to decide which is best for you…

Focus T25 Deluxe PackageFocus T25 Deluxe Package – This package includes everything you would get with the Focus T25 Base Kit… Which is the Alpha and Beta workouts, the workout calendars, the Nutrition Plan, the free bonus workout, and a resistance band.

However, the Deluxe Package includes the Gamma workouts, the Gamma Calendars, 2 additional resistance bands, and a comfort mat… I’ll be honest with you… unless you really want the resistant bands and comfort mat in this package… It’s cheaper to buy the Focus T25 base kit and then add on the Gamma DVDs only. The Deluxe Package costs $239.70 and buying them separately is $179.90 ($119.85+$59.85) before taxes and shipping. Order Focus T25 Base Kit Here… Personally, I prefer using dumbbells over resistance bands and I don’t have much need for a comfort mat…

Focus T25 Gamma PackageT25 Gamma Package – This is like the Deluxe Package but without the Focus T25 Base Kit. This includes the Gamma workouts, the calendars, 2 resistance bands, and the comfort mat.
