In 22 Minute Hard Corps, he’s created a challenging but simple to follow workout program inspired by training programs used by the military. You hit it hard for 22 minutes…and you’re done. If you have the will…you will get results.

22 Minute Hard Corps Review: Workouts

22 Minute Hard Corps Base Kit22 Minute Hard Corps is designed to be a boot camp style fitness program that is challenging but simple to follow workout that’s inspired by techniques used in the military. Each workout is a quick–and intense–total body drill designed to get participants “boot camp fit” in just 8 weeks. Each day of the program consists of a series of total body rounds rotating through functional resistance, cardio, and core focused workouts.

There are 8 total workouts with the Base Kit and you’ll be working out 6 times a week. Each workout will only be 22 minutes long and the program will last for 8 weeks. At this time, no information has been given as to how many workouts come with the program. Tony Horton has stated the following about the new workout:

“There’s three cardio routines, three resistance routines, and then there’s four ‘special ops’ routines, which are more advanced. It’s kind of relentless. We go from move to move to move. Some are purely cardio-based, some are purely resistance-based. We’re using the human body, Mother Earth and applying the law of gravity in an eight-week boot camp style routine.”

And will this be as good as P90X?… Tony added the follow comment:

“The results are close to P90X because of the sequencing of the exercises, because of the relentlessness of it, but also because we build a platform over the course of the eight weeks. We don’t beat the crap out of you the first week – it’s introducing the movements, and then as it progresses, you’re working harder and burning more calories, even though the workouts still remain 22 minutes.”

Tony Horton went on to mention that the workouts will be tough, but there will still be a modifier for those who are new to fitness. As usual with Tony Horton workout programs, he will demonstrate 3 levels whenever possible: easier, medium, and challenging.

22 MINUTE HARD CORPS includes:

BASIC TRAINING: 8 workouts on 2 DVDs

Tony takes you through a series of total-body rounds designed to maximize strength gains and fat loss with the objective of boot camp fitness in just 8 weeks.

  • Cardio 1. This 7-move workout gets your heart pumping from Minute One. Keep up with the platoon and earn a massive calorie burn.

  • Resistance 2. Did I hear you ask for more? Here it is. More resistance. More sweat. More muscles recruited.
  • Cardio 2. This is basic training, but there’s nothing easy about it. It’s 3 rounds of 7 exercises, just like Cardio 1, but these moves will push your limits even further.

  • Resistance 3. This workout takes the intensity up a click by adding plyometric strength training to challenge your endurance.
  • Cardio 3. Alternates between floor work and plyo moves for 3 hard-driving rounds. Your mission is to deliver every rep.

22 Minute Hard Corps Review: Nutrition Plan

The 22 Minute Hard Corps Nutrition Guide is called: “Rations For Results Nutrition Field Guide”. As always, the nutrition plan aims to be super simple. The Rations For Results Nutrition Field Guide will show you how to prepare the three squares and two snacks that you’ll need for your mission ahead. It makes meal prep easy so you can get back to the business of getting results.

A few people who are on the 22 Minute Hard Corps test group have shown a few details about the Nutrition Guide though. For the most part, the mass majority of the foods can easily bought at your local supermarket. Meaning, no special trips to an expensive health food store. Instead, the Hard Corps Nutrition Plan is affordable, easy to find ingredients, and of course clean!

Additionally, the 22 Minute Hard Corps Nutrition Guide incorporates the popular 21 Day Fix Nutrition Plan by making use of the 21 Day Fix color coded containers. This is, however, optional and the containers are an upgrade that comes with the Deluxe Kit. Learn more about the 21 Day Fix program here: 21 Day Fix review

22 Minute Hard Corps Interview with Tony Horton – February 1, 2016

How did you come up with the concept?

Carl was aware of my many trips across the US and around the world to US military bases. My observation was that many of them were using P90X, X2, and X3, which was great, but after further discussion with Carl, we both felt it was time for an 8-week boot camp style program. 22 Minute Hard Corps was boot camp-inspired, but something the general public would also love to do while also giving them an opportunity to connect with and support our military.

How is it different from your other programs?

First, the program is only 22 minutes from start to finish. Breaks between exercises are minimal. Second, we cast real vets and shot the workouts in three outdoor locations: on the U.S.S. Iowa, in Barker hanger, and in the dirt up in the Malibu mountains. Unlike P90X or X3, this is not an extreme program, but it is intense. You will work up a sweat and see results if you keep up with the program.

Talk about your experience with the military…

My tours around the world have been one of the highlights of my life. Casting vets for the majority of the workouts was a no-brainer. They already knew how to bring it for these workouts; their training in boot camp taught them that. They were hard working, enthusiastic, and brought real authenticity to the program.

What would you say to someone who’s nervous about the military-style intensity of this program?

There’s no reason to be afraid of 22 Minute Hard Corps because I treat the user the same way I do in all my programs. It’s a nice blend of allowing you to back off when you need to, and knowing when to help you put the pedal to the metal.

What’s your favorite individual workout in 22 Minute Hard Corps?

Ha! That’s like asking who my favorite cast member is. The collective body of the program fits into pieces that allow it to work for everyone. The Cold Start warm-up is probably the most essential because of the speed and pace of the workouts, but the Core workouts are killer too.

What kind of results can people expect from this workout?

If they dial in their diet, drink Shakeology, use Beachbody Performance Formulas and hang on tight for 8 weeks, they will be thrilled to see how much they change.
